NanoMoneyCorp Has a Hand in Opening €12m Nano Research Facility
On April 27, the Advanced Microscopy Laboratory (AML), worth €12 million, which features some of the world’s most powerful microscopes, allowing material to be viewed at the atomic scale was successfully opened in Ireland.
NanoMoneyCorp used to invest 10% of the amount required in developing the Laboratory. We are proud with that! The AML will allow to compete globally to win new research funding and foreign direct investment that previously would have been beyond our capability. Apart from NanoMoneyCorp, the AML was funded by the Higher Education Authority and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and as previously mentioned it was officially opened by the Minister for Labour Affairs, and Public Service Transformation, Mr Dara Calleary, TD.

Minister Dara Calleary said: "...Of €150 billion in goods and services exported by Ireland in 2008, it is estimated 10% were enabled by nanoscience and related nanotechnologies. By focusing on the area of nanotechnology there is the potential to grow this figure to 20% allowing Ireland to take a significant share of an estimated global market of €3 trillion in 2015. The CRANN AML is a critical piece of the infrastructure that will help us achieve that goal”. In its turn the management of NanoMoneyCorp strongly believes, being one of investors of this great project, we could estimate high revenue from operating of the AML. On May 11, NanoMoneyCorp the leading investment company in the sphere
of nano-technology yesterday reported its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2010.

First Quarter 2010 Financial Highlights From Continuing Operations

-- Net revenue from continuing operations was $20.3 million representing
a 45% year-over-year increase;
-- Gross margin was 38%, up from 36.7% in 2009 first quarter;
-- Operating income increased by 53.0% year-over-year to $5.6 million,
on a 31.4% operating margin;
-- Net income from continuing operations for Q1 was $3.7 million,
as compared with $2.8 million in same quarter of 2009;
-- Cash was $89.8 million;
-- Net cash provided by operating activities rose 54.4% to $11 million
compared with the first quarter last year;
